About Cue Counselling WA

Rob’s Story

I am the sole proprietor of Cue Counselling WA. After obtaining a PhD, my early career was in Medical Research where I studied eye and ear disease for close to 20 years. While the work was satisfying, it ultimately became unfulfilling. After leaving the scientific field, I was lucky enough to find administration work at a busy psychiatric practice. It was there that I had my first insights into the mental health field and the importance of good mental health.

This prompted me to explore options that would enable me to help people with mental health issues. I decided to embark on a Diploma of Counselling at the Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors

Not long after graduating I joined the Australian Counsellors Association (ACA) and established my private practice, CUE Counselling WA, where I have helped clients with a range of issues.

In addition, I have become involved with the charity organisation Outside The Locker Room (OTLR), which provides mental health training workshops for sporting clubs and schools. I have also attained accreditation as a First Aid for Mental Health (FAMH) training facilitator with St John’s Ambulance WA. In this role I run extensive training workshops that enable participants to recognise the signs of a mental health challenge and to provide first aid in the form of an open conversation.

I am experienced in many areas of mental health and welcome new clients at CUE Counselling WA. Please click here to arrange an appointment.
